Privacy Policy

Updated: 2 August 2026

AmoryMe is a dating and community app for adults. We understand that for our users privacy is not a convenience but a matter of safety. That is why we collect as little as possible, and explain below honestly what we collect and why.

What we collect

At sign-up: email address, password (stored only as an irreversible argon2 hash — we do not know your password and cannot recover it), date of birth (to verify you are an adult), nickname.

Profile: whatever you fill in yourself — bio, city, interests, what you are looking for, photos, answers to profile prompts.

Location: only if you turn on the “nearby” filter. Coordinates are rounded on the server to roughly 11 kilometres and the exact position is never stored. Distance is shown to other people as an approximation.

Technical data: your IP address at the moment of registration and a device identifier — used solely to prevent mass registration of fake accounts and spam. A push notification token, if you allowed notifications.

Activity in the app: likes, passes, matches, messages, reports, participation in events.

Photos and metadata

This point matters. Photos taken on a phone usually carry hidden metadata — including the exact GPS coordinates of where the photo was taken and the device model. Before storing anything we strip all metadata from every uploaded photo and video. Anyone who obtains a link to your photo cannot extract from it where you were.

Photos are kept in private storage. Links to them are temporary and stop working after an hour. Photos marked as private are visible only to people you have personally granted access. A verification selfie is seen only by a moderator and is never published on your profile.

Uploaded images and video frames are checked automatically by Microsoft Azure AI Content Safety. If that check is unavailable, the photo is not published — we would rather refuse than let unsuitable material through.

Private messages

Conversations between people are not scanned automatically and are not sent to any third-party content analysis service. This is a deliberate decision: for our audience, the promise that private messages stay private matters more than the convenience of automated moderation.

Messages can be reported, and then a moderator sees them. Apart from that case, the contents of private messages are not read.

Who receives data

We do not sell your data and we show no advertising. Data is processed only by the services the app cannot work without:

Microsoft Azure — photo storage and automated checking of published content. Apple — Sign in with Apple, push notification delivery, and payment processing if you take out a subscription. Cloudflare — protection against automated bot registration.

We may disclose data upon a lawful request from authorised bodies. We aim to store as little information as possible precisely so that there is almost nothing to disclose.

Safe meetings and trusted contacts

A meeting plan (who, where, when) is visible only to you. The other person is not told about it.

You can add trusted contacts — up to three email addresses. This is the only case in which meeting data leaves your account. If you do not check in as “I am fine” within half an hour of the time you set, we send those addresses an email containing the meeting place, the time, and the nickname of the person you were meeting. Nothing else — no conversations, no photos, no address, and no app name in the subject line.

This only happens if you added the contact yourself and did not switch it off for that particular plan. Contacts can be removed at any time, and the alert can be disabled per meeting. We send at most one email per meeting and no more than three such emails per day.

Your controls

Invisible mode — turn off profile visibility and you will not be found in search.

Blocking — a blocked person disappears from your results, and you from theirs.

Disappearing messages — you can set a timer after which messages and attachments are deleted automatically.

Hiding online status — works both ways: hide yours, and you no longer see anyone else’s.

Trusted contacts — added and removed by you; the alert can be disabled for any meeting plan.

Export your data — in settings, as a single file: profile, photos, conversations, likes, meeting plans. Disappearing messages are not included.

Delete your account — in settings. Profile, photos, messages, likes and related records are deleted.

Age

The service is intended only for people aged 18 and over. Date of birth is checked at registration. Accounts reported as belonging to minors, where the report is substantiated, are blocked.
